I am a Registered Nurse and Endorsed Nurse Practitioner of 41 years, having trained originally in London in 1982. I moved to Busselton with my husband David in 1994, where we raised our two daughters. Throughout my career I have been passionate about providing holistic, evidence-based health care and supporting clients to be the healthiest they can be, not just physically but mentally as well. I take the time to listen to your story and build a trusting, non-judgemental relationship.
After many years as a School Nurse at Busselton Senior High School, I continue to see young people privately for short-term health support, counselling and help navigating their health journey. Women’s health has always been my passion, and I now work more with women experiencing menopause or hormonal change, providing assessment, health advice, emotional support and MHRT. I also support both men and women with medical weight loss strategies and mentoring.
I am experienced in working with clients with complex trauma, mental illness, social issues and neurodivergence, and I always aim to provide an emotionally safe environment for people from all cultures and backgrounds. I hold a Masters Degree in Nursing, postgraduate qualifications in Counselling and Child and Adolescent Health, and certificates in Sexual and Reproductive Health, Menopause and Trauma Informed Care.
I have a genuine passion for providing a safe place for women to feel heard and share their story. Women often play key roles in raising the next generation, yet neglect their own wellbeing to do so. My business name reflects this. The Karri tree is a symbol of strength and resilience: it grows tall in healthy soil, holds strong even through fire, and protects the life beneath it so that it can grow strong too. Women are the Karri trees of our community, and my goal is to help them feel stronger and healthier.
